The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) plans to sell its products at subsidised rates twice during the month of Ramadan, which is expected to begin on 11 March.
The decision has been taken to reduce people’s pressure during Ramadan, said Ahasanul Islam Titu, state minister for commerce, during a discussion at his ministry office in Dhaka on Wednesday.
“There are many challenges in front of us and one of which is market management. All ministries are working together to control the market,” he said.
From now on, all information regarding the production costs and prices of agricultural products will be accessible through the website, he said.
