Rail services on Mymensingh-Dhaka route resumed on Thursday morning which has been suspended for five days following a bridge collapse in Netrokona’s Barhatta upazila.
A Dhaka-bound train of 'Haor Express' left Mohanganj this morning, Barhatta rail station master Golam Rabbani confirmed.
A rail bridge near Atitpur rail station under the Barhatta upazila was collapsed in flood water on June 18, suspending the communication on the Mymensingh-Dhaka route.
After that, the Dhaka-bound Haor Express train got stuck at Mohanganj while a Mohanganj-bound local train in Barhatta.
