Six people were given different jail terms for casting fake votes and for creating chaos at different polling centres during Cumilla City Corporation election on Wednesday.
Of them, one was given three months' jail while the five others were given three to seven days' jail terms, Cumilla District Magistrate Kamrul Hasan confirmed the matter at 11:30 am.
"Five outsiders were detained from Shongraish Government Primary School centre and given three to seven days' jail terms," Kamrul said.
