At least four people died after a passenger bus hit an autorickshaw in Ghuingarhat area of Bhola's Charfesson upazila.
Sohag, 35, Aziz, 30, and Siraj, 25, died on the spot. Md Yousub, 50, succumbed to his injuries in the evening at Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
Four others, seriously wounded in the accident, are being treated at the Bhola Sadar Hospital and Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
The bus collided with the autorickshaw head-on, killing three men on the spot, Bhola Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Enayet Hossain told UNB quoting witnesses.
The bus driver escaped after the incident but agitated locals vandalised the vehicle and blocked the road for two hours.
Later, police seized the bus and took control of the situation.
