Awami League alone to snatch Kurigram Sadar seat (Kurigram-2 Sadar, Phulbari
and Rajarhat Upazila) from Jatiya Party. At the same time, the leaders of the
party joined forces to raise allegations of unlimited corruption,
irregularities and nepotism against the current party MPs from the other three
constituencies. The dispute has now become public. Awami League President and
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have submitted written complaints to the
aspirants. State Minister of Primary and Mass Education Ministry Zakir Hossain
MP of Kurigram-4 (Raumari, Rajibpur and Chilmari) constituencies are also on
the top list of these complaints. The other two MPs are - Kurigram-1
(Nageshwari and Bhurungami) Constituency MP Aslam Hossain Saudagar and Kurigram-3
(Ulipur) Constituency Professor MA Matin MP. 51 candidates have collected
A-League nominations in four constituencies of the district.
A
maximum of 17 people bought nominations for the state minister's seat
(Kurigram-4). It is followed by the Kurigram Sadar (Kurigram-2) seat held by
the Jatiya Party. 13 nominations have been sold in this seat. In Kurigram-3
constituency, 12 people have submitted nominations and in Kurigram-1
constituency, 9 party nominations have been purchased and submitted.
The current MP of Kurigram-1 (Nageshwari and
Bhurungami) A-League Aslam Hossain Saudagar's image has gone down due to
corruption. Therefore, to restore the image of the party, the former central
president of Chhatra League Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shobhan, Nageshwari
Upazila Parishad chairman Mustafa Zaman, central Awami League leader Dr. Mehdi
Hasan Pradhan Sumon, former central Chhatra League leader Dr. Mahfuzar Rahman
Ujjal, brave freedom fighters Aktaruzzaman Mondal and Ishak Ali have collected
nominations. Current MP Aslam Hossain Saudagar has sought nomination again.

from Jatiya Party. Awami League wants to grab this seat at any cost to make the
party strong and coordinate district development. The Awami League has a big
vote bank in this seat. 13 people bought party nominations.
The commotion started when the letter of complaint
written by the party leaders to President Sheikh Hasina regarding three Awami
League MPs in Kurigram was leaked on social media. Leaders, activists and
supporters are analyzing the MPs. Now Minister Zakir Hossain, Professor NA
Matin MP and Aslam Hossain Saudagar MP are in the center of discussion in the
district's market, tea shops, offices and courts. There has been a storm of
criticism about their misdeeds, irregularities and corruption.
