Three people were killed and at least 10 others injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses at Taraganj upazila in Rangpur district on.
The accident took place in Chikli Doalipara are of the Rangpur-Dinajpur highway on Tuesday at around 7:30 am.
The identities of the deceased were not known immediately. The injured were admitted to Taraganj Upazila Health Complex and Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
According to the police, a Rangpur-bound bus of Tripti Paribahan from Saidpur collided head-on with another bus of Saimon Paribahan coming from the opposite direction in Doalipara area, leaving three people dead on the spot and 10 others were injured.
Taraganj Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Sheikh Mahbub Morshed confirmed the matter.
