Gopalganj's Kotalipara Upazila Chhatra League committee has been declared dissolved.


This information was informed in a press release signed by the president and general secretary of the Central Chhatra League on Tuesday (February 13).


The press release signed by the president Saddam Hossain and general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan on the pad of the Bangladesh Chhatra League central executive council has informed that according to the urgent decision of the Bangladesh Chhatra League, central executive council, it is being informed that the committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League, Kotalipara Upazila Branch, Gopalganj has been declared dissolved.


On the afternoon of January 31, Kotalipara Sheikh Lutfar Rahman Adarsh Government College's annual sports and cultural competition, there was an altercation with Chhatra League leaders Emon Nizami and Shahabuddin Dandia. At one point, the supporters of these two leaders clashed. In this, 5 people including Eman Nizami, Shahabuddin Daria were injured.


In this incident, Ali Hasan Rifat, brother of Emon Nizami, filed a case in Kotalipara Police Station against 18 leaders and workers of the Upazila Chhatra League along with Shamim Daria, General Secretary of the Upazila Chhatra League.


Apart from this, a section of the Chhatra League joined the movement demanding the dismissal of Shamim Dariya, general secretary of the Upazila Chhatra League. General Secretary of Gopalganj District Chhatra League Amir Hamza said that the committee of Kotalipara Upazila Chhatra League has been dissolved due to these reasons.


President of Gopalganj District Chhatra League, Newton Molla told reporters on the phone, "I have not had any discussion with the central leaders on this matter. Therefore, I do not know the matter."
