1 thousand 699 people got GPA-5 in Sylhet Education Board in
this year's HSC examination. On the other hand, the pass rate is 71.62%.
Chairman Sylhet Education Board Controller of Examination Professor Arun
Chandra Pal gave this information in a press briefing at the Education Board at
2.30 pm on Sunday.
He said - this time both pass rate and GPA-5 have decreased in
Sylhet board.
In Sylhet Education Board, GPA-5 and pass rate are leading
girls.
This year the total number of examinees under the Sylhet board
was 83 thousand 123. Among them, 59 thousand 536 passed.
Among them 23 thousand 916 are boys and 35 thousand 620 are
girls. Meanwhile, 1699 got GPA-5. Among them 819 are boys and 880 are girls.
The pass rate has decreased by 9.81 percent compared to last
year. GPA-5 decreased by 3 thousand 182 points. Last year Sylhet board pass
rate was 81.43 percent. And 4 thousand 881 got GPA-5.
2023 308 college students participated in exam under Sylhet
education board.
16 thousand 733 examinees have increased in Sylhet this year
compared to last year the number of institutions increased by 4.
This time there are 74 thousand 311 regular HSC candidates.
Among them 30 thousand 315 are boys and 43 thousand 996 are girls. Besides,
there are 59 quality improvement candidates.
According to the examination statistics, this time 58 thousand
312 students from humanities department will participate in the examination.
Among them 23 thousand 146 are boys and 35 thousand 166 are girls. The number
of candidates of science department is 12 thousand 898 people. Among them 5
thousand 459 are boys and 7 thousand 439 are girls. Besides, 12 thousand 14
examinees will participate from business education department. Among them 5
thousand 655 are boys and 6 thousand 359 are girls.
Sylhet district is at the top in the number of candidates. 34
thousand 612 candidates will participate in this district. There are 17
thousand 541 candidates in Moulvibazar, 15 thousand 811 in Sunamganj and 15
thousand 260 in Habiganj.
