Miscreants set fire to a commuter train standing at Tangail
railway station on Wednesday night. Three coaches of the train were burnt.
Bangladesh Railway Dependent Society strongly condemned and protested this
incident.
On thursday a press release sent to the media, President of
Bangladesh Railway Pet Society Md. Moniruzzaman Monir said that the wealth of
the state is the wealth of the people. Public wealth is bought with people's
hard-earned money. No one has the right to destroy that wealth of the people
because of political unrest. This incident is unfortunate for the nation. It is
important to take precautionary measures of Bangladesh Railways to prevent the
recurrence of such incidents.
He also said that those involved in the Tangail train fire incident should be found and brought under exemplary punishment. Necessary measures should be taken so that no one can take advantage of political unrest to disturb the safety of people's lives and property.
