Girls have outshone boys once again in
the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate and equivalent
examinations in 2023.
The pass rate of the female examinees this year is 80.57 per cent while the
pass rate of boys is 76.76 per cent.
In the results of 2022, the pass rate of
girls was 87.48 per cent and that of the boys was 84.53 per cent.
This year, 49,365 girls secured GPA 5 while 43,230 boys got GPA 5.
In the past year,
95,721 girls and 80,561 boys secured GPA 5.
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the results for 2023 and later the education minister Dipu Moni at a press conference briefed the results at the International Mother Language Institute.
