Zakia Sultana, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Industry has
given the press briefing about the inauguration of Ghorashal Palash Urea
Fertilizer Factory. She started her briefing by remembering the nation’s father
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In this briefing she told the press about this project. The Ghorashal
Palash Urea Fertilizer Factory situated in Palash, Narshingdi. This project
area is 110 acre. Production capacity of this project is Urea 2,800 metric ton
(per day) and 9, 24,000 mt (yearly). Duration of the project is from October
2018 to June 2024. Estimated cost of this project is 15,500.21 crore [GOB:
4,580.21 crore and Commercial loan: 10,920crore (Bidder Financing)]. General
contractor of this project are M/S Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Limited (MHI),
Japan and China National Chemical Engineering No. 7 Construction CO. Ltd. (CC7),
China Consortium.
After the briefing senior secretary Zakia Sultana cordially feel sorry that Minister of Industries Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun couldn’t attend the briefing due to ECNEC meeting and answer questions of the press. This factory will be inaugurated in 12 November. Respectable minister of industries and senior secretary went to invite honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after the meeting and press briefing.
