A pedestrian named Abdur Rashid (65) was killed when a bus came for a picnic at Vijaypur in Durgapur Upazila of Netrokona. Police said that the bus driver has been arrested in this incident.This incident took place in Rastila area of Kullagarh union of Durgapur upazila on Monday (February 19) afternoon. The deceased pedestrian is the son of deceased Abdul Majeed of Vijaypur area of that union.According to local and police sources, the picnic bus called Thanhika Super was coming from Mymensingh towards Vijaypur on Monday afternoon. On the way, he came to an area called Rastila of Kullagara Union and hit the pedestrian Abdur Rashid from behind. He died on the spot. When the killer bus wanted to escape after this incident, the local excited crowd arrested the bus driver and informed the police. On receiving the information, the police went to the spot and arrested the dead body and the bus driver and brought it to the police station.In this regard, Durgapur police station inspector Mahfuz Alam confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the bus driver Salim Mia has been arrested. the lawThe body of the deceased will be sent to Netrakona Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
