Four people, including a woman and a child, were killed and 10 others injured after a bus crashed into a roadside tree at Bhanga upazila in Faridpur district early on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Merina Akter, 32, Junaid, 3, Humayun Kabir, 48, and Abdur Rauf Hawlader, 50.
Bhanga Highway Police Station officer in-charge Taimur Islam said a bus of Sakura Paribahan hit a roadside tree in Madhabpur area at about 3:00 am after its driver had lost control over the steering, leaving two dead on the spot and 12 others injured.
They were rescued and taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex where two more succumbed to their injuries.
Legal steps in this regard are under process, the OC added.
