Customs intelligence detained a Sharjah-bound passenger with foreign currency worth Tk 73 lakh at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram today, reports our correspondent.
A team of the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Regional Office, Chattogram Airport with the help of NSI seized 2,51,790 Dirhams (Tk. 73,15,179) from a Sharjah-bound passenger, who kept the foreign currency sewing into his shoulder bag, at 6:30am today at Shah Amanat International Airport.
The name of the passenger is Mohammad Ali, a resident of Chadaha, Afzalnagar, Satkania, of Chattogram. He was the passenger of Flight Air Arabia, G9-527. Six mobile phone sets are also recovered from him. This passenger made a total of six international trips in 2022.
