Sheikh Meraj Ali (32) has been accused of sexually harassing Amena Akhter, a mother of 2 children and wife of a government employee, in Rajkandi (New Bazar) area of No. 9 Islampur Union of Kamalganj Upazila. On the instructions of the learned court, a case has been filed in Kamalganj police station against Sheikh Meraj Ali (32) and his father Akbar Ali (53) in this incident. According to the affidavit of the case, it is known that on February 5, the housewife went to fetch water from the government tube well next to the house. At that time the neighbor Sheikh Meraj Ali started making bad gestures and gave bad suggestions like before. At that time, when he protested, Amena was hacked with a Chinese ax kept in Meraj Ali's shop. Allegations have been made - Meraj Ali's father - Akbar Ali took part in the attack. At that time, the house wife's father-in-law and other neighbors came forward and attacked them after hearing the screams of Halla. About a hundred people of Rajkandi (New Market), including the victim Amina Bibi alias Amena Akhtar, Sabar Ali, Hakeem Mia, Ruman Mia, Achad Mia, Kalam Mia, Aftab Mia, Salauddin alias Mawla, Saira Bibi, who asked about this matter, said- Sheikh Meraj Ali and his father Akbar Ali are known as evil people of the area. There are several cases against them. People including fish traders and ben traders are fed up with their worries. Local residents condemned the incident and demanded exemplary punishment.
