Faridpur has 4 parliamentary constituencies consisting of 9 upazilas. In these 4 parliamentary constituencies, several leaders of BNP are in the field along with the ruling party Awami League. Leaders of both the major parties are competing to win their party's nomination. Some are aceing each other and approaching central leaders to win nominations. In addition to the old candidates in these 4 seats, many new candidates of the two major parties have entered the field. Among them, Kazi Abdus Sobhan, convenor of Faridpur district branch of Awami Fishermen League, is on top of the discussion by giving all help and support to all the helpless, poor and suffering people including the sick and the sick in Faridpur 2-parliamentary constituency.

Talking to the common people, it is known that he has stood by all people as a demon in his constituency. He has bought the materials of various religious institutions with cash for the construction of mosques and madrasas. Besides, he is providing financial support to many patients of Nagarkanda, Saltha and Krishnapur areas who are admitted in the hospital. Today, he has become famous as a peddler of humanity by helping the helpless people of the area. Many people call him the ambassador of humanity. When the unemployed people were in trouble due to the global pandemic corona virus, Kazi Abdus Sobhan ran to those helpless, poor people of the area. He has set a unique example by distributing food items and clothes. Former general secretary of Bangladesh Mahila Awami League Mahmuda Begum Krik is in Faridpur 1 seat. He has also become very close to the common people through mass communication. He is also at the top of the discussion as a candidate for the party nomination of the ruling Awami League.

It is known that the ruling Awami League has occupied these four seats of Faridpur for a long time. Awami League's party nomination aspirants are hoping that the people will vote for Awami League again in the upcoming national elections. President of Faridpur district Awami League Shamim Haque said that there is no alternative party to Awami League in this country, people will win Awami League again with a huge margin of votes.

Meanwhile, Faridpur district BNP leaders said that BNP is not thinking about the election at present. The main idea of BNP is to remove the ruling Awami League government from power. They said that if elections are held under a neutral government, BNP will definitely participate and their candidates will win in 4 constituencies with a huge margin of votes. Recently the district Awami League full committee has been announced. Since then, the leaders of the party are in the field with various programs. Apart from confronting BNP on the streets, the party leaders have taken various programs to bring the vote verdict in their favor in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
