Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Thursday placed the proposed National Budget of fiscal 2022-23 in Jatiya Sangsad.
The Finance Minister started placing the budget at 3:00pm in Jatiya Sangsad. Chaired by Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, the 51st National Budget of independent Bangladesh was placed in presence of Leader of the House Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
In his budget proposal, the Finance Minister proposed to raise and lower the prices of following goods. So, a number of products available in the market are all set to rise and fall in prices following the implementation of the National Budget for the 2022-23 financial year.
Prices Up
Cheese, curd, cigarettes and tobacco products, air-conditioners, mobile phones, paper couplets, GI fittings, aluminium foils, automobile cylinders, lighters, computer printer toners, first class train fares, equipment used for meditation services, imported electric cables, all kinds of pipes, imported motorcycles, all kinds of rubber related products, imported solar panels, optical fibre cables, imported chairs, printing ink, imported luxury birds, all kinds of Covid-19 equipment including kits and masks etc.

Hearing aid equipment, wheel chairs, LED TV, Kaju nuts, animal fodder, hand towels, clinical bed sheets, food prices at air-conditioned restaurants, machinery used in poultry firms, pesticides, agricultural products, imported aircraft, LP gas, puffed rice, sugar, power tiller, locally manufactured mobile battery chargers, poultry and fish feed, Braille books, polythene bags, stainless steel, plastic bags (oven plastic bags) and wrapping goods etc.
