On the evening of August 21, a significant event unfolded as the Bangabandhu Parishad convened for a virtual meeting via Zoom webinar. The purpose of this gathering was to strongly denounce the heinous assassination attempt on the esteemed Prime Minister, Jananetri Sheikh Hasina, through a grenade attack. Additionally, the meeting served as an opportunity to honor and remember the victims of the tragic August 21 attack.

Chaired by the Acting President of Bangabandhu Parishad and former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. A.A.M.S. Araifin Siddique, the meeting carried immense significance. Leading the proceedings as the General Secretary of Bangabandhu Parishad was Professor A.B.M Farooq, Professor at Dhaka University.

A distinguished panel of experts enriched the discussion with their insights. The participants included Professor Dr. Zia Rahman, Major General Abdur Rashid (retired), Professor Dr. Abul Kashem, and Professor Dr. Jebunnessa from Jahangirnagar University. The discourse revolved around the reprehensible attack and its repercussions, highlighting the resilience of the nation in the face of adversity.
