Later at night the accused called Shahidullah from his shop and hacked him. Shahidullah was rescued by locals and died on the way to the hospital.  The day after this incident, Amanullah, the brother of Shahidullah who was killed on May 22, filed a case and the police issued a charge sheet in the name of 15 people. After taking the testimony of 20 witnesses, the court gave the judgment in the case after 26 long years.

Advocate Abu Nasser, the son of martyred Shahidullah, said, "I was a fifth grade student when my father was killed." My mother taught me only one thing from a young age: to grow up to be a lawyer and ensure the maximum punishment for those involved in my father's murder. I became a lawyer with my mother's inspiration to ensure that my father's killers were brought to justice. Even after 26 years, as a child, I was able to secure justice for my father's murder, which is a great achievement for me. I am thankful to the court. Thanks to Almighty Allah. I am happy with this verdict.
