The mobile court has sealed M/s Amin CNG filling station due to low supply of oil in Sonaimuri, Noakhali. At the same time a fine of 60 thousand rupees was imposed. Assistant Commissioner of District Administration and Executive Magistrate Ahsan Hafiz conducted this mobile court in Dighirjan area of Bajra Union of Upazila at around 11 o'clock on Wednesday (December 6). According to mobile court sources, Assistant Commissioner of District Administration and Executive Magistrate Ahsan Hafeez appeared along with representatives of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) around 11:00 am. At that time, BSTI's prescribed measuring device found less than 480 milliliters of octane per 10 liters of oil and the display was seen to be selling oil with broken display. Amin CNG filling station was fined Rs 60,000 under the Weights and Measures Standards Act after admitting the truth of the allegations. District Administration Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Ahsan Hafeez said, the petrol pump has been sealed. They paid the fine in cash. Later after replacement of new display and calibration of the machine will restart the dispensing unit subject to approval of BSTI.
