9,150 pieces Yaba wrapped in leg, 2 arrested in Noakhali

Police arrested 2 drug dealers with 9 thousand 150 pieces of Yaba from Begamganj of Noakhali.

The arrested are Zainal Abedin (48), son of deceased Abdus Sattar of Kutubdia upazila of Cox's Bazar district and Ismail Hossain Tipu (36), son of deceased Nuruzzaman of Alipur area of Chowmuhani municipality of Begumganj upazila.

The police arrested them from the area adjacent to Jame Masjid in Chowmuhani intersection of the upazila around 12:15 pm on Sunday.

According to the police, when the movement of 3-4 people was suspicious in front of Malallah Mishti Bitan near Chowmuhani Chowrasta Jame Masjid, the police arrested a person named Zainal during the hartal duty. At this time, other drug dealers fled. Inquiringly, he told the detainee that he had a special yaba hidden on his leg with a football anklet. Later, the police recovered 9 thousand 150 pieces of Yaba tablets from inside the black polythene, which was hidden in a special way with angles from his two legs. Later, according to his commentary, the police arrested the drug dealer Tipu.

Noakhali Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Shahidul Islam confirmed the truth of the incident. He said that the matter of filing a case in this incident is under process.
