The mayor of the City Corporation raised the question of who dared to burn the electoral camp of the boat in Rupganj, Narayanganj. Celina Hyatt Ivy said, “It needs to be looked into by the administration. We have to find out who wants to worsen the environmental situation here.

The mayor said this in response to the questions of journalists when he came to Rupganj on Saturday. Earlier on last Friday, there was an incident of fire at the temporary election camp of the boat in Naora area of Rupganj. Locals allege that the violent terrorist Musharraf alias Mosha, a follower of independent candidate Shahjahan Bhuiyan of Ketli Prateek, is involved. Musharraf, accused in 42 cases including murder, weapons, extortion and land robbery, is campaigning for Shahjahan in this election and is building an anti-boat stance.

It is reported that a written complaint has been lodged with the Chief Election Commission, Election Inquiry Committee and District Returning Officer along with the police station regarding the burning of the camp. A case has also been filed at Rupganj police station. However, the police have not arrested anyone yet.

Meanwhile, expressing anger, the mayor said, "As a boat worker, I am demanding from this administration that whoever burnt the boat camp should be found and brought to justice."

Commenting on the culture of burning camps, the mayor said in a surprised voice, "It's a boat camp again!" Where Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has raised the tide of development throughout Bangladesh and there has been massive development in Narayanganj as well. Especially in Rupganj, Gazi Bhai has done a lot of development in his own way. The government has done it, and Gazi Bhai and his wife have also made many improvements as mayors of the municipality. Those who develop and live with people, work for the welfare of people, come here at this time and burn the boat camp! Who has such a great misfortune? Why did it, I think it needs to be looked into by the administration. Here it is necessary to find out who wants to worsen the environmental situation. Hon'ble Prime Minister wants a peaceful election. Today the election will be over, tomorrow we will see each other. So violence should be avoided. People will vote for whoever they want.

On the other hand, the mayor said that he came to Rupganj during the election period despite being the mayor of the city corporation. But I can wish you good luck. And since this is my brother's house, I can come. That's why come.'

He said, 'I have not come here for any campaign. Gazi Bhai's wife, Mayor of Tarab Municipality, Hasina Gazi, is physically ill. I came to see him. I have a long relationship with him. Besides, I come here from Purbachal almost every time to buy trees for the city corporation. I took lots of plants and flower tubs from here last four days too. Today I also came to Purbachal, while passing through here I thought to meet my sister (Hasina Ghazi) and exchange kushal. Bhai and Bhabhi (Minister Ghazi and his wife) I truly consider my own brother and bhabhi. That's why come. After coming, I met my sister but did not meet my brother.
