Readymade garment workers took position in Mirpur-13 and 14, blocking vehicular movement on those roads.
Around 8:30am on Tuesday, the workers of Chittagong Garments, Vision, MBM, Loadstart, Saroz Garments and some others started agitation in Kuchukhet area of Mirpur-14 demanding their minimum salary Tk 23,000-25,000.
Kafrul Police Station OC Faruqul Alam said the protesters are now heading towards Mirpur-10 Goal Chattar.
Denying the owners' new decision of minimum salary Tk 12,500, the workers have continued their protest. The protest started on October 23.
Around 23,000 persons have been accused in 40 cases filed only with Savar and Ashulia police stations over factory vandalism, arson attack and some other charges.
