A husband and wife were injured in an attack on a couple in Moulvibazar due to a previous dispute. The injured are Tombu Munda (35) son of deceased Hemant Munda of Kuchai outpost of Goalbari Union, Tombu Munda's wife Rita Munda (30).

According to the complaint source of the local residents and the police station, Lalu Munda (60), the son of the deceased Hemant Munda (60), used to come to the yard of the house of the deceased Hemant Munda's younger brother Tombu Munda and used to drink alcohol and threaten to kill him. On the day of the incident, Lalu Munda attacked inside the residence of the injured and vandalized the belongings of the house. Lalu Munda abuses vulgar language. As a result Tombu Munda's family is upset. At one point, Lalu Munda beat Tombu Munda's wife Rita Munda and injured Leela Phula in different parts of her body. He threw her on the ground and molested her. When Tombu Munda went to rescue his wife, she was killed, punched and beaten with sticks. When they screamed, the locals of Kuchai outpost rescued the injured and took them to Juri Upazila Health Complex. Tombu Munda filed a complaint in this incident. He appealed to the administration to take legal action against the accused subject to investigation.

When asked about this incident, the officer in charge of Juri police station Md. Mosharraf Hossain said that necessary measures will be taken subject to investigation.
