The police arrested two drug dealers with 500
grams of ganja during an anti-drug operation in Tungipara of Gopalganj.
Tungipara police station officer-in-charge (OC) Khandaker Aminur Rahman
confirmed the matter at 11 am on Tuesday.
He said that on Monday night at 11 pm based on a tip-off, Tungipara police
arrested Md Nazmul Molla and Masud Fakir with 500 grams of ganja and arrested
them in front of Kushli Bangabandhu Liberation War Research Institute with the
joint force of SI Masum Lovelu, ASI Shariful Islam, and ASI Monir Hossain.
One of the arrested is Md Nazmul Molla (32) son of Dakshin Kushli Mohammad
Molla and the other is Masud Fakir (40) son of Ghonapara Mosharf Fakir.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Tungipara police station Khandaker Aminur Rahman said
that both of them are active drug dealers. There are multiple drug cases
against the arrested Nazmul Molla in other police stations. A drug case has
been filed against the arrested drug dealer under the Narcotics Control Act at
the police station.
