Son died six hours after father's funeral in Begamganj, Noakhali. This casts a shadow of mourning on the area.
The incident took place at the house of Chana Ulyah Chaparashi in Khejurtala area of Ward No. 4 of Mirwarishpur Union of Upazila at around 2 pm on Thursday (February 15).
The deceased's younger son Md Sumon said that his father Anar Uliah (68) was suffering from heart problems for a long time. After that, he died at his home at around 12 o'clock on Wednesday night due to liver damage. He was buried in the family cemetery after the funeral at 9 am on Thursday. My elder brother Masood Rana (46) suffered a heart attack as soon as father's janaza was over. Later he was admitted to a private hospital in Noakhali. From there, he died at Matlab area around 2 pm on the way to Dhaka for better treatment. Deceased Masood Rana was a CNG driver by profession and father of 2 children.
Shamsur Rahman, UP Member of Ward No. 4 of Mirwarishpur Union, said that his son Masud died of a heart attack due to the death of his father. Local residents are saddened by the death of father and son within fourteen hours.
