Thakurgaon, the northern district of the country ordinary
rail passengers have to suffer endlessly to get tickets at Thakurgaon Road
Railway Station. Many people are facing difficulties in registering under the
new rules. Due to online ticketing and non-availability of tickets at the
counters, the tickets are in possession of broker syndicates.
Being angry with the brokers, the station master himself revealed the names of
the ticket black market brokers. He said, here Labu, Meher, Roni, Jahangir, an
influential groom circle of 10/12 people are shooting.
Getting tickets for various intercity trains at railway stations has now become
a golden deer for passengers. Standing in the queue and making hundreds of
recommendations to the counter master, the desired ticket is not found, but if
you wander around the station and look for a ticket, you can find a train
ticket at an extra two or three times the price.
According to the passengers of the rail journey, the railway authority has
given the provision of online purchase of half the tickets from the ticket
counters. But many believe that black marketers have the connivance of
unscrupulous railway employees in this case by making their loyalists stand at
the counter and collect tickets. They also buy seats from various computer
shops on high speed net online within moments.
Passengers complained that these tickets went into the hands of some dishonest
employees of the station and influential people around the station. Through
them, distribution is done among the brokers. The pilgrims said that this cycle
has become reckless due to the lack of supervision by the authorities.
According to the investigative report, all the tickets were gone from the
server within five minutes after the sale of tickets started at the counter and
online from 8 am. And train tickets are not available at the counter. However,
train tickets are available outside the station for an additional fee.
It is known that Labu is one of the members of the ticket black market gang at
Thakurgaon road railway station. All train tickets are under the control of
this influential circle. As a result, passengers are forced to buy tickets from
outside the station with extra money.
A passenger who did not wish to be named said that he met a member of the Dalal
Chakra called Labu near the railway station. He had to buy a ticket from him at
double the price as he could not get a ticket at the station but I went to the
seat given in the ticket and saw another passenger sitting. I was given a fake
ticket, so I had to purchase a ticket again from the railway.
While booking tickets with Dalal Chakra member 'Labur', it is seen that any
ticket is made within ten minutes for double the price with the passenger's own
voter ID.
Several victims complained that Thakurgaon railway station officials and
employees are also involved in the train ticket scam; otherwise black marketers
sell tickets in front of them at the station. Apart from this, local leaders
along with the shopkeepers inside the station are involved in the ticket black
market.
When asked about the complaint, Master Aktaruzzaman of Thakurgaon Road Railway
Station said, "The brokers are selling tickets around the station, we are
almost in trouble because of them. We informed our railway administration about
this. One day our railway authorities came to conduct the operation. The black
market brokers ran away after getting the news couldn’t be caught.
