Election Commissioner Rashida Sultana has said political unrest will come down slowly. At one point, BNP will also take part in the elections.
"We have actually started a quadruple preparation. The election related works are progressing. The efforts to prepare guidelines for polling officers are on. The commission will meet on Monday," the Election Commissioner said these to journalist on Sunday.
She said, "The polling officials should work according to the rules, considering their skills and professionalism. Everyone should act impartially as before."
Responding over ballot papers sending at an early hours on the election day, EC Rashida said, "Election is a challenge, whether it is in EVM or ballot. Trying to do whatever it takes to overcome the challenge. I will try to send the ballot papers at all centres except remote areas at an early hours on national election day."
"Still, we hope that BNP will take part in the upcoming polls. It have been saying for a year and a half that they will come."
