The collection of toll from Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway has begun on Friday (July 1) at a rate of Tk 10 per kilometre for an interim period.
As per the interim rate of Tk 10 per kilometre as the base toll, before finalizing the toll rate in line with the toll policy, 2014.
Now medium-sized truck will have to pay Tk 550 for the 55 kilometre expressway as the base toll.
According to the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry, the toll is Tk 495 (90 per cent of base tolls) for buses, Tk 138 (25 per cent) for cars (sedans) and Tk 28 (5 per cent) for motorcycles.
Toll of other vehicles will also be determined accordingly.
