A man and his wife were killed along with their daughter being crushed by a bus at Sadar upazila in Thakurgaon district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Masudur Rahman, 50, his wife Halima Begum, 45, and their daughter Meherun Nesa,13. They were residents of Collegepara area in the upazila. Meherun was a student of class VIII at Madrasatul Huda.
Thakurgaon Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Kamrul Islam said Meherun's parents were taking her to the madrasa this morning riding on a motorcycle.
At one stage, a bus of Hanif Paribahan crushed them in Dashpara area at about 9:30 am, leaving Halima dead on the spot and the others injured.
Fire service personnel rescued them in critical condition and took them to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital where Masudur and Meherun succumbed to their injuries.
Legal steps in this regard are under process, the OC added.
