Haji Md. Kashem was elected as the president for the second time by getting 139 votes for each chair of the contest of the ballot, ending various speculations in the election of Khagrachari Wood Traders Cooperative Society Limited. Monir Hossain won the post of General Secretary for the second time with 123 votes to”Golap Ful”.

In the election of the management committee of the organization in 2023, Deen Mohammad for the post of vice-president with 110 votes for “Batgach”, Bakhtiyar Uddin Chowdhury for the post of co-general secretary “Nalkup Chashma” with 101 votes, for the post of office secretary Md. Noor Nabi for “Fish” with 96 votes, for the post of treasurer- for “Futbol” Md. Mustafa won with 116 votes and Rafiq Uddin Siddiqui with 119 votes for “Kolsi”, Pankaj Barua with 87 votes for “Bagh” and Haji Khorshed Alam with 80 votes for “Mobile Phone”.

Voting continued from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday in the race to decide the fate of the leadership. All are happy as the voters elect their leaders after voting in a festive atmosphere of candidates and voters. 165 voters exercised their right to vote in this triennial election against the last 20 candidates.

Khagrachari Sadar Upazila Cooperative Officer Mohammad Zahir Uddin will serve as the president of the election management committee of "Khagrachari Wood Traders Samiti Limited", also Hilton Tripura and Thyupru Mugh are serving as members of the election management committee, organization sources said.
