Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League, has mercilessly beaten up opposition Gana Odhikar Parishad president Nurul Huque Nur and his followers at TSC of Dhaka University.
Gana Odhikar Parishad said over 20 leaders and activists including Nurul Huque Nur were injured in the attack. Of the injured, 10 were admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The incident took place on the road in front of TSC at around 4:30pm on Wednesday.
Nurul Huque Nur went to the campus to join a demonstration organised by Chhatra Odhikar Parishad to protest against the arrest of 34 BUET students, murder of madrasa student Rezaul and recent attacks on the leaders and activists of the opposition parties.
This programme was scheduled to be held in front of Raju Sculpture at TSC at 4:00pm.
