Six Chhatra Dal leaders have been picked up by plain clothes police member, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rahul Kabir Rizvi has alleged.
They were picked up on Friday (August 18) morning, he said in a statement at night.
Rizvi said, "Dhaka University Chhatra Dal senior joint secretary Mominul Islam Jisan has been missing after he went out from his Azimpur residence on Friday morning. Later, central Chhatra Dal assistant general secretary Shahadat Hossain, DU Chhatra Dal vice-president Md Hasanur Rahman, joint general secretary Abdullah Al Riad, DU hall Chhatra Dal joint general secretary Shariful Islam and JU former joint general secretary Jahir Uddin Mohammad Babar were picked up by the plain clothes policemen when they went to the house of Jisan."
They are still missing, he added.
He urged to send back the six leaders to their families.
