Most of the registered hajj pilgrims of this year are in Dhaka. Only two are in Bandarban.
A total of 55,009 hajj pilgrims, who have completed their registration, are from Dhaka district, while two are from Bandarban district, according to letter sent to all deputy commissioners from Religious Ministry.
This year's hajj is expected to be held on June 27 as per the moon sighting.
The registration process for hajj ended on Tuesday (April 25), which was began of February 8.
According to the Religious Ministry, total number of registered hajj pilgrims are 1,19,486. Of them, 10,039 are under the government management, while 1,09,447 are under the private management.
This year, 70 per cent Bangladeshi pilgrims will go through Jeddah Airport, while the rest 30 per cent will go through Madinah Airport.
