Noakhali Correspondent:
A total of two hundred and twelve houses in the coastal area
of Noakhali were completely destroyed by Cyclone Midhili and Nine hundred and
thirteen houses were partially destroyed.
The disaster occurred in the island and char area of 34
unions of Hatia, Suvarnachar, Companyganj, Kabirhat and Sadar upazilas in the
coastal area of the district.
This information was informed in a press release signed by
Deputy Commissioner Dewan Mahbubur Rahman and District Relief and
Rehabilitation Officer Md. Zahid Hasan Khan on Friday night.
The notification also said that the damage occurred in the
coastal area of Noakhali when the cyclone crossed Midhili coast from 3 pm to 6
pm on Friday. However, there was no casualty or missing incident.
Deputy Commissioner Dewan Mahbubur Rahman said that government relief assistance will be given to the victims soon.
