Narayanganj Correspondent:

In Narayanganj-1 (Rupganj) Constituency independent candidate Shahjahan Bhuiyan, a close follower of this candidate was seen distributing money publicly.

The name of the person who handed over the money is Nurul Islam Jahangir alias Jahangir Master. He is the General Secretary of Daudpur Union Awami League of Rupganj Upazila and the Chairman of that Union Parishad.

Meanwhile, in a speech given to journalists during the campaign in Ganganagar of Murapara Union on Tuesday, Awami League's candidate for textile and jute minister Golam Dastgir Gazi alleged that his rival candidates participated in the election under the auspices of land robbers. Land grabbers are spending crores of rupees on those candidates.

"Those influential land robbers want to take over Rupganj by making a puppet MP," said the boat candidate.

A day after Golam Dastgir's statement, a video of Shahjahan Bhuiyan, an independent candidate upazila Awami League general secretary in the constituency, spreading money in the election mass communication, went viral on social media.

In that video, it can be seen that UP Chairman Nurul Islam is doing election mass communication on behalf of Shahjahan Bhuiyan. Behind him, activists-supporters are chanting slogans in favor of Shahjahan's electoral symbol 'kettle'. At this time, Nurul Islam is also seen distributing money.

It is known that on the morning of December 21, UP Chairman Nurul Islam Jahangir went to campaign for the 'kettle' symbol in Ward No. 5 of Daudpur Union. Naseem Mollah, leader of Chhatra League, a follower of Shahjahan Bhuiyan, recorded the video of the campaign at that time and posted it on his Facebook account. In that video, Nurul Islam is seen distributing money openly.

Daudpur UP Chairman Nurul Islam Jahangir's mobile phone number was called several times to inquire about this, but he did not receive it.

However, Shahjahan Bhuiyan, an independent candidate of the 'kettle' symbol, said, "The person who is distributing the money is a matter of seeing how close he is to me, whether he elects me or not." Whether the person did it to make me controversial is also a matter. Because I don't make elections by giving money.

Meanwhile, Golam Dastgir Ghazi, the candidate of the boat, said, "The video of the public distribution of money is proof that the land grabbers are sponsoring my opponent candidates with huge amounts of money." By distributing this money, those land robbers are questioning the position of the government and the administration regarding elections and elections. Prime Minister has nominated me to work again for the welfare of Rupganj people. I believe that the people of Rupganj will stand up against these land robbers as they did before. At the same time, I will ask the administration to take strict action against those who are active in questioning the election.
