A writ has been filed with the High Court challenging the legality of the notice of Dhaka University's Bangla department asking its students to keep their faces uncovered during examinations and presentations.
Lawyer Faizullah Foyez, who represents three students of the university, filed the writ on Sunday.
DU VC, head of the Bangla department of the university and other concerned have been made respondents in the writ petition.
On December 11 last year, the Bangla Department issued a notice, signed by its chairman professor Syed Azizul Haque, asking the female students to keep their faces and ears uncovered during all examinations, including viva and presentations.
