In Rahanpur of Gomstapur, an operation was conducted to control daily essential food items at the weekly market on Monday.
On Monday (February 26) noon at the largest weekly Monday market of the upazila, this campaign was conducted with the aim of selling essential food items at a fair price and selling products in a healthy environment in the market. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate Nishat Anjum Ananya supervised the weekly bazaar market of rice, onion and daily necessities and awareness in selling food in open environment. Nazrul Islam of Naderabad village was fined Tk 10,000 under Section 19 of Section 7 of the Agricultural Marketing Act 2018 for stocking and marketing agricultural products without a license during round market inspection
Tells traders to sell goods at a fair price in accordance with the prevailing laws of the country of other traders. He said in a response, such operations and supervision will continue with the aim that no businessmen can do business in illegal ways on the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
