A Dhaka court on Thursday issued an arrest warrant against two teachers of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in a case filed for instigating a student of the institution to commit suicide.
Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Sessions Court-12 Judge Abdullah Al Mamun siied the warrant.
The two accused teachers are-- Nazneen Ferdous and Zinat Akhter.
The court passed the arrest order as the teachers did not appear in court on two scheduled days.
The teachers were chargesheeted on July 10, 2019.
Aritri Adhikary, a ninth grader student of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her residence in the capital's Shantinagar on December 3 in 2018, hours after she and her parents were allegedly insulted by the teachers.
Later, the deceased's father Dilip Adhikary filed a case with Paltan Police Station next day against two teachers bringing allegation of instigating his daughter to commit suicide.
