Four people went missing after a boat capsised in the Padma River in Rajshahi this morning (September 11, 2022).
The boat capsised at Jogar Ghat area of Rajshahi city around 8:30am. Fire service divers are currently working to rescue the missing, reports our local staff correspondent.
Deputy Assistant Director of Rajshahi Fire Service and Civil Defence Zakir Hossain said there were about 30 people on the boat going towards Madhyachar from Jogar Ghat. The boat sank before reaching Madhyachar.
Most of the passengers swam to the shore, according to eyewitnesses, however, four people went missing, he added.
