Four persons were killed and one was injured as a microbus smashed an auto-rickshaw on the Kanchpur Bridge in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj on Sunday morning.
The accident happened at about 9:30am on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway.
Two of the deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Hanif, 25, and Mamun, 30.
Kanchpur Highway Police Station OC Nabir Hossain said a microbus rammed into the battery-run auto-rickshaw on the west side of the Kanchpur Bridge.
One died on the scene and four injured.
Later, three succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital.
Another injured Jaamal is currently undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
