Three youths, including two siblings, were killed as their motorcycle hit a road side tree after losing control over speed in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Arafat Hosen Shuvo,22, and his brother Mohammad Ridoy, 18, sons of Abu Daiyan of Ghatla village, and their cousin Md Zahed, 18, son of Md Kamal Hosen of the same village.
The accident took place at Ghatla village of Kadirpur Union ward no. 3, of the upazila around 10am.
Kadirpur Union Parishad chairman Md Saleh Uddin said the three youths were going to Pouranbibi Bazar riding on the motorcycle from the Abdur Rob High School.
The accident occurred when the biker lost control over the vehicle and hit the road side tree, leaving two brothers dead on the spot.
Locals took the injured Zahed to a local hospital and later he was shifted to 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Duty officer of Begumganj Police Station assistant sub-inspector Md Rafiqul Islam said police visited the spot.
Legal procedure will be taken after the family filed any complaints.
