Human chain-meetings have taken place in Noakhali demanding a modern and aesthetic municipal park for all ages. On Tuesday at 10 am, a human chain-meeting was held at the town hall intersection of Noakhali district town Maijdi on the initiative of the civil rights movement.
At this time, children's park for children's entertainment around the big lake in front of the Noakhali District Commissioner's office, walkways for senior citizens were demanded. Speakers said that although Noakhali is a hundred-year-old first-class municipality, no recreation center has been built for the citizens in this city till date. At this time, they also emphasized on making Noakhali district town Maijdi a clean and livable modern city. If the demands of the citizens are not implemented, more severe agitation is warned.
Advocate Kausar Niazi, convener of civil rights movement spoke in the chair, member secretary Jamal Hossain Bishad, brave freedom fighter Tarkeswar Debnath Nantu, Noakhali Science and Technology University teacher Dr. Masud Qayyum, General Secretary of Noakhali Press Club Abu Nacher Manju, Executive Director of Esogari Development Agency Abdul Awal and many others. Apart from this, teachers, brave freedom fighters, journalists and volunteers of various social organizations participated in the human bonding gathering. Later, a memorandum was issued to the Deputy Commissioner and Mayor of Noakhali Municipality. Earlier, leaflets were distributed in the city for two days on the same claim.
