Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina is coming to Sylhet on Wednesday (December 20). He will address the public meeting organized by Sylhet District and Metropolitan Awami League at the Sylhet Government Alia Madrasa ground. The Prime Minister's election campaign will be officially launched through this public meeting. 

 Meanwhile, a delegation led by party presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak visited the Alia Madrasa ground to see the overall preparations of the venue. On Tuesday (December 19) at 12 noon, the leaders visited the public meeting place. During this time, they witnessed the general activities of public meeting stage and field and talked with local leaders. Jahangir Kabir Nanak, presidium member of Awami League, said after visiting the public meeting place, Sylhet is our holy land, from this holy land, Bangladesh Awami League starts its official election campaign every time. Following this, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is coming to Sylhet on Wednesday.

 Nanak also said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is always sincere towards the people of Sylhet. You don't have to ask for anything from Him, He gives before asking. He also gave a lot to the people of Sylhet. He has undertaken a comprehensive plan to make the whole country including Sylhet a smart Bangladesh. Jahangir Kabir Nanak expressed hope that the people of Sylhet will be with us in the implementation of these plans. Seeking the cooperation of the people of Sylhet for the success of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's public meeting on Wednesday, Nanak said that tomorrow the Prime Minister's public meeting will turn into a mass of people in the ground of Alia Madrasa. This public meeting will prove that all the seats in Sylhet will be given to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

 Awami League presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak was present along with Sylhet Metropolitan Awami League President Vir Muktijudda Masuk Uddin, District President Shafikur Rahman Chowdhury, General Secretary Advocate Nasir Uddin Khan, Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Md. Sylhet district and metropolitan Awami League leaders including Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury. It is to be noted that Bangladesh Awami League will start the official campaign for the 12th National Parliament election on Wednesday (December 20) by visiting the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (r.h.) and Hazrat Shahparan (r.h.) with an election rally at Aliya Madrasa ground in the city. Party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address this public meeting. A lot of enthusiasm has been created among the leaders and workers of the party around this public meeting. Local Awami League leaders expressed hope that at least 1 million people will gather in the public meeting.
