Bangladesh Jubo Mahila League, according to the emergency decision of the Central Executive Parliament, Sylhet Metropolitan Jubo Mahila League Organizing Secretary Lucky Akhter alias Lucky Ahmed has been expelled from Sylhet Mahanagar Jubo Mahila League on the charge of being involved in anti-organizational and degrading activities.

On the evening of 9 February 2024 (Friday), an emergency meeting of the Sylhet Metropolitan Jubo Mahila League was held on the instructions of the leaders of the Central Jubo Mahila League. Based on specific complaints of various anti-social activities and blackmail of alleged Lucky Ahmed in the meeting, President Sufia Iqbal and General Secretary Engineer Maryam Parveen expelled the accused Lucky through a notice in the form of a written notice on the pad of the organization with the consent of all.

According to the sources, Lucky Ahmed, who is said to be using the name of Awami League, has been harassing Abul Kashem Rumon, the editor of the Weekly Variety Sylhet newspaper and the journalists of the said newspaper, with false cases, assault and death threats for a long time. A case No-301/23 was filed by Abul Kashem Rumon, editor of Vaishikamoy Sylhet newspaper, in Sylhet Executive Magistrate Court-1 on 12th October 23rd, seeking relief from blackmailer Laki's harassment. After hearing the case on February 6, 2024, the court issued a warrant and ordered his arrest. On the night of February 8 (Thursday), Sylhet Katwari Thana Police conducted a special operation and arrested Lucky Ahmed, who allegedly used the post of Sylhet Jubo Mahila League, from the colony of Munsipara 10/I Gias Uddin of the city. After Tak's arrest, the Executive Committee of Sylhet Mahanor Jubo Mahila League called an emergency meeting and he was expelled as the allegations of harassment and violation of party discipline against the editors and journalists of the Sylhet popular weekly newspaper Varsityamaya Sylhet were proven.
