The District Detective Police
(DB) has arrested Saber Ahmed, president of the District Secha Sebok Party,
from Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali.
Noakhali Superintendent of
Police (SP) Md. Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter at around 9 am on Saturday.
Earlier, the district intelligence police arrested him from Jirtali area of
Eklaspur union of the upazila on Friday night.
District Police Superintendent Md. Shahidul Islam said that he was arrested on charges of arson and sabotage. The accused will be handed over to the Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Saturday afternoon.
