Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that even if his responsibility changes after the 22nd national council of Awami League (AL), he will still be working for the party.
He said this to journalists at a press conference on Friday at the Awami League central office at Bangabandhu Avenue.
Friday is the last day of the second consecutive term of Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader as the general secretary of the ruling party.
He said that the party never stopped working even during the pandemic, only some of their organizational activities were suspended.
Obaidul Quader said that Awami League is moving forward in its own way. Youth and women have gained interest towards Awami League more than before.
Obaidul Quader commented that BNP's goodwill has arisen and said that they have shifted their program of December 24 to December 30. “I thank them on behalf of Awami League for this.”
The 22nd national council of the ruling Awami League (AL) will be held on Saturday with a pledge to build a Smart Bangladesh by 2041.
