The dead body of a person named
Uttam Kumar from the bank of Fakinni River under Baghmara police station in the
border area of Manda upazila of Naogaon district and Baghmara upazila of Rajshahi
district recovered by the police. A heart-wrenching atmosphere was created in
the area when the news came to his house.
The sole breadwinner of the
family, Uttam Kumar Atrai is the son of Ajit Kumar of Hatkalupara village.
According to family sources, he
went to Fatehpur market last Thursday afternoon to sell vegetables and did not
return home. A few days ago, Uttam Kumar's 15-year-old son fell into the water
and died. Being a very poor person, he has no enemies, his family said. On the
morning of November 25, the locals saw his body lying, informed his family and
the police, the police of Manda police station and the police of Gangopara
police outpost under Bagmara police station came and recovered his body. As the
area is within Baghmara police station, the body was taken there. However, the
family of the victim has requested the administration to investigate why he was
killed. And they demanded a fair trial of this murder.
Manda police station officer in-charge Mozammel Haque Kazi said, as the body was lying in Bagmara area, he informed Bagmara police station. Bagmara Gangopara police outpost in-charge Moazzem Hossain said that the body was recovered and sent to the morgue. He said that a murder case is being prepared.
