Police on Saturday night surrounded a hotel in the capital’s Banani on suspicion of militant hideout.
Members of Banani Police station surrounded the hotel around 9 pm.
Banani Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Noor-e-Azam said they have surrounded hotel North City. “We suspect that there are militant members in the hotel.”
He further said, “This hotel and a mess in Banani have been surrounded on suspicion of suspected militants. We believe that militants may stay here for the purpose of sabotage. We have had the information for several days.”
The OC said they started the operation based on information.
