A man was shot to death allegedly by some miscreants at Phultala upazila in Khulna on Monday morning.
Deceased Milon Fakir, 45, was a resident of the upazila.
Witnesses said two miscreants riding on a motorcycle shot Milon in Jamira area near Ideal School around 8am. Milon managed to escape and took shelter at a nearby shop. Later, the miscreants entered the shop and shot him there again, said Assistant Superintendent of Khulna Police Sushanto Sarker.
Milon injured by bullets and died on the spot.
The body was sent to Khulna Medical College and Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The reason behind the killing is yet to be known but efforts are on to arrest the killers, said the police officer.
